OOn August 23, 2023, Asia Pacific Initiative (API), led by API President Ken Jimbo, hosted a roundtable with Dr. Nikoloz Samkharadze. Dr. Samkharadze serves as a member of parliament and is the Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of parliament in Georgia. The event was moderated by Dr. Kazuto Suzuki, Director of the Institute of Geoeconomics.

In attendance were not only API’s in-house experts but also distinguished guests such as H.E. Mr. Teimuraz Lezhava, the Ambassador of Georgia to Japan, and Prof. Atsuko Higashino from the University of Tsukuba. The event began with a keynote speech by Dr. Samkharadze on the topic of “Black Sea Security,” followed by discussions among experts.
