IHJ hosted a special panel session “Japan-U.S.-ROK Trilateral Relations for a Free and Open Indo-Pacific”.

On August 29, 2023, the International House of Jaspan organized a special panel session titled “Japan-U.S.-ROK Trilateral Relations for a Free and Open Indo-Pacific”.

In this panel session, we invited three key figures, His Excellency Mr. Rahm Emanuel, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America, His Excellency Mr. Yun Dukmin, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea, and Mr. Takayuki Shikata, Cabinet Secretary for Public Affairs, Prime Minister’s Office in Japan, to discuss the significance of the historic Trilateral Summit Meeting held at Camp David on August 18, from the three countries’ perspectives. The panelists discussed the impact of Japan-US-South Korea relations on security of the Indo-Pacific and East Asia, as well as the development of economic security in technology spheres such as semiconductor and battery supply chain resilience.

We plan to post a video of this panel session on our website and YouTube channel as “Ambassador in Town Special Edition” at a later date. Please look forward.
