AP Initiative Chairman Yoichi Funabashi was interviewed by the Japanese Association of Science and Technology Journalists (JASTJ).
The interview, published on June 26th, 2018, compares the three major investigation efforts on the accidents at the TEPCO Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station.
Funabashi discussed with JASTJ about the findings and the lessons drawn from the projects at API (and its predecessor RJIF- Rebuild Japan Initiative Foundation),namely “The Independent Investigation Commission on the Fukushima Nuclear Accident” and “Personal networks and social resilience – The evacuation of hospitals in the Fukushima sheltering zone” interview, they emphasized the importance of evidence-based risk evaluation and its application to evacuation planning.
