Danish journalists visit RJIF to discuss “Disaster Journalism”

Both sides exchanged views on how to better understand and evaluate the diverse, complex and chaotic reports that emerge when a major disaster occurs such as in the case of the Fukushima Nuclear Accident. In particular, they discussed the current public sentiment towards the restarting of nuclear power plants, and the failure of the System for Prediction of Environmental Emergency Dose Information (SPEEDI), which functions to forecast the spread of radioactive materials from the site.
