Asia Pacific Initiative (API), together with the Institute of Japanese Studies, Kookmin University, hosted the “2023 Japan-Korea Future Vision Dialogue” on December 1, 2023, at the International House of Japan.

Researchers, parliament members, and government officials from both Japan and the Republic of Korea participated in the Dialogue and engaged in a lively exchange of views on three topics: collaboration between the Global South and the Indo-Pacific region; prospects for Japan-U.S.-Korea cooperation and Indo-Pacific strategies; challenges for Japan and South Korea toward the 60th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between Japan and the Republic of Korea in 2025.

API, as a hub for knowledge exchange, continues to contribute to building a free, open, and sustainable future in the Asia Pacific region through intellectual dialogue and policy research.
