On September 6-7, 2024, Asia Pacific Initiative (API), the Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA) and the Asia Society Center on U.S.-China Relations, jointly convened the Japan-ROK-US Trilateral Dialogue in Tokyo.

This meeting focused on the cooperation between Japan, South Korea, and the United States following the August 2023 joint statement by the leaders of the three nations, “The Spirit of Camp David.” Experts from the three countries discussed how to advance collaboration going forward, taking into account the domestic political situations in each country while reviewing their respective positions and perspectives on geopolitical and geoeconomic challenges in the Indo-Pacific region.
