On July 4th, an article written by RJIF researcher Sophie Knight on architects in Japan designing innovative wooden high-rises in Japan in spite of tough fire regulations was published in The Financial Times. Titled “Tokyo designers push the boundaries of wooden skyscrapers”, the article was the second in a series RJIF is publishing as a result of its research project into Japan’s contemporary living environment and emerging lifestyles.
