On May 30, 2023, the Institute of Geoeconomics (IOG)<\/u><\/a>, under the leadership of Director Kazuto Suzuki, submitted a booklet containing the results of an economic security survey of 100 companies and their voices to Sanae Takaichi, Minister of State for Economic Security. The booklet conveyed over 60 opinions and requests received from companies in response to the question, “What do you expect most from the Minister of State for Economic Security?” Furthermore, discussions were held primarily based on an essay by the Chief Researcher of the Institute of Geoeconomics regarding the security clearance system aimed at legislation by Minister Takaichi.
